Underwater world

Hiya my crafty friends!!!

Today's card I made for challenge: Underwater World sponsored by Papierowy Potwor which is first colouring challenge organised by Polish digi creator/seller - interested? Check info on my friend Ewa blog: http://hubka38.blogspot.co.uk/2017/07/potworne-wyzwanie-1.html.

For this challenge we all have a choice of 3 digis, two of them from Kuleczkowo and one from Potsi.

I choose one of images from Kuleczkowo.

You can find this cutie here: http://www.papierowy-potwor.pl/p/33/1429/digi-stempel-kuleczkowo-syrenka. Not be surprised tho, when buying this one you actually receiving 2 different images with mermaids - nice bonus :).

I'm simple girl, so... my card is simple too ;)

I coloured mermaid and fishes with pencils and cut them out, add bit of glitter glue on.
I choose glittered sea theme patterned paper and layered it on navy blue cardstock. The same cardstock I used for my new fancy oval die cut :).

Then stamped my sentiment, distressed it with scissors and shaded with pencil, stick all pieces together, added few gems and... my card is ready.

What do you think about my new mermaid card?

Till next post friends!

Fairy...

Hiya Friends!

Oh, wasn't writing for a bit... midterm break for my lil boy 😊. Also my man took few days of holiday, so we spent some time on short trips.

This cute pie was waiting a bit to be placed on card, so.. today 'Lil Bookworm Fairy' created by Ching Chou Kuik.

I decided to use rather pastel colours on it, soft beige, light blue, gold, bit of red, orange, yellow and olive.
I distressed edges of all layers with scissors and added nice piece of twine with gold thread to make a bow.

We can say kind of rustic look.

What do you think about my card?

Hope you like it 😊.

Till next post friends!

Beauties of the Sea

Hiya Crafties!!!

Oh yes my friends! Mermaids again!

Why? May Challenge at Ching Chou Kuik's Facebook group :).

Believe it or not, for this challenge we have plenty of beautiful images to choose from! Just check mermaid section in Ching's etsy shop: https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/gjzcck?section_id=15928892.

I wanted my mermaid to have this kind of vintage look, more sea like coloured... hope I successed :)

I used 3 patterned papers in bluish/creamy/beige/brown colour combo. All three pieces I distressed with scissors and inked edges with brown ink.
I coloured my mermaid with pencils - used: gold, olive, ivory, spring bud, emerald green, golden yellow, light brown, yellow clay and yellow green. I also distressed image with scissors and inked it.

To be honest with you I'm not using laces in my cards often, but this time I decided that combo of white lace and two tone beige ribbon will work nicely on my new project - right side of card.

My sentiment (from Sweet Dixie) I placed of bottom left corner, then add 3 green gems on left top corner.

And what do you think about my Beauty of the Sea?

Till next post friends!!!

Use a ribbon! April Challenge

Hello!

Ladies and Gents today I'm writing about my first DT project for Conie Fong Art & Design.

April Challenge: Use a ribbon!

For my card I choose cute image called: 'Bella with Rose' and decided to use spring colours on her, so...
here she is:

For this card I used 2 patterned papers and 2 bold (green and yellow) papers. Sentiment was stamped twice - first time in green, second time bit higher in yellow to make an effect of shadowing and cut diagonally.

I added 2 yellow wooden flowers as extra touch.

My piece of ribbon I placed on image where Bella has her bow.

I love this cute teddy and I think she looks great coloured in grey.

Hope you like my little spring card.

Till next post friends!

My first cards

I'm sitting and thinking how long I'm making cards... when I started? Hmmm... 9-10 years ago... Something like that.

I remember one thing for sure - first card I made for my Dad and to be honest with you result was hmmmm.... my card looked like made by preschool child :) Random man's related stickers (mainly cars) on green cardstock if I'm not wrong. I didn't like it, cause looks so childish, not exactly as I wanted - but from other side my Dad loved it, so I decided to learn properly how to make cards.

First I found some books in local library, then I bought some online, then join craft club in local community centre, then my friend - Pat - very talented cardmaker - offered that she will teach me few things and we were meeting almost every Friday and crafting or just chatting - she moved to the Netherlands more then half year ago, so I'm trying to learn by myself :)

Some of my first cards...

Butterflies from tissue paper

Iris folding

Playing with texture papers and stickers

Cut out butterflies - shame I have no photo of card with cut-out butterflies I made for my Mam for her birthday - I really loved how its turned out.

I also played with different kinds of folds - below Birthday card for my Dad (second).

Card below I made when spending time with craft group - image is in 3D.

This one was a fun - wasn't easy to figured out how to fold it properly :) and I think leaf I cut out from handmade texture paper looks great on it - by the way I had this card printed in one of paper crafting magazines :)

More playing with shaped cards - below :) Plus more stickers :)

And here is my first ever printed in craft magazine card and also my first sold on Etsy card :) This card was also first one I made under close eye of my crafty friend - Pat.

What wrote a buyer about this card in her review? Her words: 'Very pretty and extremely well made. My daughter loved it. Fast shipping too. I'm very pleased with this purchase.'
I was very happy. Since that time I made and sold lots of other cards, but more about them later :)
