For Ruth

Hiya Crafties!

Today DT project for Conie Fong Art & Design and special request in one.

My man's work mate asked for Birthday card for his partner, personalised, with flowers.

Only image I could think of straight away was Peony Delight from Conie's etsy shop.

I coloured it with Prismacolors, then used circle die on it.

As I wanted to make this card with bit of vintage/shabby chic twist I used kinda 'dirty' green patterned papers divided with pinky/purple one. I distressed all layers with scissors, shaded image with mulberry pencil, added crochet trim, 2 goldish pearls, sentiment and...

voila!

Card is done :)

I really like the ending result :)

What do you think about my new card?

Till next post Friends!

More peonies :)

Hiya Crafties!!!

Oh yes! More peonies!!!

Soon I'll be almost expert with colouring them :) Joking :)

Today another beautiful new image from Conie Fong Art & Design: Peonie Delight!!!

Believe it or not, I really like this one!

Combination of peonies and lilacs on image is just perfect for birthday card, thank you card, anniversary card... You can find this digi and many more in Conie's etsy shop: https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/ConieFongArt

As I'm bit addicted lately with pinks, blues, lavender and purples I decided to use all these colours on my new card. I coloured and cut out image and place it on card with foam tape for 3D effect.

For extra touches I added handcoloured die-cut butterfly and few purple gems.

Hope you like my new creation.

Till next post friends!

Peonies

Hello Friends!

I'm still practicing flower colouring. Not easy task when you have no idea how to shade flower petals, but long time ago someone said: Practice makes perfect ;)

Today's card I made for New Release at Conie Fong Art and Design.

Image: Peonies in a Jar.

I decided to use simple square layout with only two slightly patterned papers in blue and purple to match image I coloured with light purple and lavender pencils.

I delicately shaded sentiment with lavender pencil to softened it a bit.

For extra touch I add double coloured lace and die-cut little butterfly which I coloured with pencils blending blue, lavender and purple on it.

What do you think about this card my friends?

Till next post!!!

Vintage and shabby chic style

I love vintage/shabby chic style cards.

So about last Easter time, when playing with tag puncher and stamps with Dom (he loves using puncher :) , I decided that I'll give a go :) .

I stamped image and sentiment in chocolate brown on cream card and add some delicate colouring with green, yellow and pink pencils.

Then I was in proper dilemma with papers and ribbons :)

After some thinking, inking, distressing and sticking papers together...

Full view :)

I used light pinky floral paper, piece of pink paper, and yellowish paper as layering for stamp and sentiment. I inked and distressed rants of each piece of paper to gain 'old look' effect and delicate lace for adding extra texture to it.

I think card looks nice - but pic is bit too dark...

I made few more shabby chic style cards (and sold them via my little etsy shop).

I'm not using too many decorative elements on my cards from practical reasons, my cards are not boxed and some elements could be damaged in transport. In that case I'm using only ribbons, laces and gems.
Hope you like these few cards examples :)

Till next post friends!
