Pearls

Hello crafty peeps!

Ladies always loved pearls... that's what I think :) Are you agree with this?

Pearls are soooo vintage :)

So... maybe late, but I finally find a time to colour and make a card with great image called: 'Vintage Tea Cups' from We Are 3 (you can find their digi stamps and papers here: https://www.etsy.com/shop/WeAre3/items).

As a vintage stuff for me is visually connected with old sepia photographs for colouring I choose brown, gold and yellow pencils.

I found some sepia/vintage looking papers in my stash, some ribbons, creamy wooden flower and here you are - my new card!

What do you think? Looks ok?

But...

That's not all I wanted to show you today :) My little boy decided just few minutes before leaving home for school, that he wants to colour this image too and look at this:

Beautiful, isn't it?

Beauties of the Sea

Hiya Crafties!!!

Oh yes my friends! Mermaids again!

Why? May Challenge at Ching Chou Kuik's Facebook group :).

Believe it or not, for this challenge we have plenty of beautiful images to choose from! Just check mermaid section in Ching's etsy shop: https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/gjzcck?section_id=15928892.

I wanted my mermaid to have this kind of vintage look, more sea like coloured... hope I successed :)

I used 3 patterned papers in bluish/creamy/beige/brown colour combo. All three pieces I distressed with scissors and inked edges with brown ink.
I coloured my mermaid with pencils - used: gold, olive, ivory, spring bud, emerald green, golden yellow, light brown, yellow clay and yellow green. I also distressed image with scissors and inked it.

To be honest with you I'm not using laces in my cards often, but this time I decided that combo of white lace and two tone beige ribbon will work nicely on my new project - right side of card.

My sentiment (from Sweet Dixie) I placed of bottom left corner, then add 3 green gems on left top corner.

And what do you think about my Beauty of the Sea?

Till next post friends!!!

Panda in Mug

Today's card is my entry for Sasayaki Glitter Progressive Challenge #12.

Naz gave us very sweet image to work with: Panda in Mug - if you are interested in it you can buy it here: https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/514281686/image-50-panda-in-mug-digital-stamp-by?ref=shop_home_active_5.

As lately I was making lots of cards with pinks, purples, yellows and greens, this time I decided to try something bit different colour wise.

As you can see I choose vintage style coloured papers, piece of ribbon, greenish doily and some warm gold-yellow gems for my new card. To colour image I used only 2 pencils: gold and olive - sometimes less means a lot :)

This cute panda was 'asking' me to be on baby card, so... 'welcome baby' clear stamp from Sweet Dixie was perfect for this little project.

That's all for today friends.

Till next post!

Vintage and shabby chic style

I love vintage/shabby chic style cards.

So about last Easter time, when playing with tag puncher and stamps with Dom (he loves using puncher :) , I decided that I'll give a go :) .

I stamped image and sentiment in chocolate brown on cream card and add some delicate colouring with green, yellow and pink pencils.

Then I was in proper dilemma with papers and ribbons :)

After some thinking, inking, distressing and sticking papers together...

Right side of card

Left bottom corner

Left top corner

Full view :)

I used light pinky floral paper, piece of pink paper, and yellowish paper as layering for stamp and sentiment. I inked and distressed rants of each piece of paper to gain 'old look' effect and delicate lace for adding extra texture to it.

I think card looks nice - but pic is bit too dark...

I made few more shabby chic style cards (and sold them via my little etsy shop).

I'm not using too many decorative elements on my cards from practical reasons, my cards are not boxed and some elements could be damaged in transport. In that case I'm using only ribbons, laces and gems.
Hope you like these few cards examples :)

Till next post friends!
