Thank you cards for teachers

Hiya Crafties!

Today cooperative work of Mum and son :)
Thank you cards for Dom's teachers. School year is going to its end...

We used stamp set Picnic pals by Alice Wong - free gift from Papercraft Inspirations magazine.

Dom coloured images and choose papers and sentiment tape, Mum (me) used scissors, cutter, dies and lots of sticky tape and foam pads to put cards together.

To colour all these cute animals Dom used pencils he received at school (award for good work this year).

We hope teachers will like their cards :)

Thank you cards for teachers

Hi Crafties!

Today I have for you not one, but 3 cards :)

My little man will be finishing Year 1 in 2 weeks, so about 3 days ago he choose  images for 'thank you' cards for his teachers - Bentley Bear set. He was cheeky enough to inform me he will not color them, I should do it!

So...

I was thinking about colors, layouts etc... and here you have results:

I decided to use spotlight technique for all of them and make them not exactly the same from layout point of view. Also used sentiments from 2 different stamp sets.

Hope teachers will like them.

That's all for today!

Pulled string

Hiya Crafties!

Few days ago one of girls on FB shared very interesting video... about using string/thread/twine and inks to make beautiful flowers like images.

I thought why not try this? Dom will love it.

So we (my son and me) tried 😊. No inks here so we used acrylic paints.

When alone at home I was catch by thought: Maybe I can try the same thing on canvas board? Result?
Here:

So kinda natural seems to be what happens next 😁. Of course I had to try to use this technique to make a card 😁.

Gold mirri card for layering, edges distressed with scissors,  piece of lace and bit of glitter glue here and there and my card was done!

What do you think about this project?

Till next post friends!

Lovely chick

Hiya crafty Friends!

Bit by bit I'm coming back to crafting... It's good for me :), colouring calming me down if you understand what I want to say by that... eh my English hihihi!

Today little 'Thank you' card with cute chick from Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez.

Simple layout, silly colouring, no sentiment as we already have one on image :)

I decided to use 2 totally different kinds of papers on this card - calm, floral, grey-bluish and multicolour with watercolour look. Also shaded image around with yellow, blue and mulberry on edges and layered it on silver mirri card.

Image you can find here.

I want to enter it to:

That's all for today.

Till next post!!!

Poppy Love

Hiya dears!

Today I have for you girly card with beautiful image created by Ching Chou Kuik called Poppy Love.

Few good months flies by since I coloured last Ching's creation... hmmm... definitely will colour another one soon 😊.

Here's coloured image before I placed it on my card:

Yes, again I back to red hair, but... really I couldn't think about different colour for her 😊. You can find this image here: https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/514077845/poppy-love-instant-download-digital?ref=hp_rv

I decided to make my card simple, one patterned and one bold coloured paper.

As you can see I die cut border on piece of green cardstock, used two pieces of dotted ribbon and few gems to complete my design.

I hope you like my new card.

Till next post!

Die cuts challenge

New month - new challenge at Conie Fong Art & Design FB Group 😊.

This time: Die cut/s.

Hmmm I had bit of thinking before I start with this card. Why? My crafty stash is kinda limited from die cuts point of view 😊.

I'm blue girl, but from some strange reason lots of my cards is in pink and lavender 😊. This card too 😊.

Beautiful image called Butterfly Kisses created by Conie was just perfect to team up with Regal Circle Doily from Tonic Studios. You can find this beauty in here: https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/517084938/digital-stamp-digi-stamp-digistamp?ref=shop_home_active_16

I decided to add 'Thank you' die I have from crafty magazine plus some butterflies (handcoloured ) and result you can see above 😊.

From papers I used silver mirri card and piece of pinkish floral Hunkydory paper. Also added piece of white ribbon for extra texture.

And yes I was playing with glitter glue again  😁.

What do you think about my new card?

Till  next post crafty friends!!!

A Birdie Note and Geordie :)

Hello crafty friends!!!

I'm not sure how many of you knows where I'm actually living... So..

Since almost 13 years I'm living in Geordieland :) For your information: Northeast of England, not too far from Newcastle upon Tyne, precisely in beautiful Northumberland county.

When people hear Geordies talking, they're often making huge mistake to call chaps from here: Scottish or Irish. Geordies are proud and friendly people and Geordie is a very interesting dialect, you can read about it a lot on internet.

My friend from London was happy when told him, I'm coming to England, but was petrified when found out I'm going to Newcastle... He said: They're not speak English!!!

Honestly I was surprised, how he could say: English people who are not speak English??? My shock came when I landed here :) But I'm used to of it now and I'm happy to call this place my home. I have lots of friends here and this card I made for them as kinda: Thank Yee Aal! card.

For this project I used image called: A Birdie Note from Art by Barb - if you are interested in colouring challenges with her beautiful images, check: https://www.facebook.com/groups/artbybarb/.

I decided to make my card: green, clean and simple with only one patterned paper, then I put sentiment together with my Trodat Printy :)

For all who wants to know what this sentiment means, here's translation:
'Singing for you Darling!'

Want to know more Geordie words?

Check: http://www.englandsnortheast.co.uk/GeordieDictionary.html, on this page you can also find lots of interesting information about Northeast of England, history, festivals, towns and cities, places to visit etc.

That's all for today!!!

Till next post friends!

Peonies

Hello Friends!

I'm still practicing flower colouring. Not easy task when you have no idea how to shade flower petals, but long time ago someone said: Practice makes perfect ;)

Today's card I made for New Release at Conie Fong Art and Design.

Image: Peonies in a Jar.

I decided to use simple square layout with only two slightly patterned papers in blue and purple to match image I coloured with light purple and lavender pencils.

I delicately shaded sentiment with lavender pencil to softened it a bit.

For extra touch I add double coloured lace and die-cut little butterfly which I coloured with pencils blending blue, lavender and purple on it.

What do you think about this card my friends?

Till next post!!!

I'm waiting when Dom will be old enough to teach him all I know about crafting if he still will be interested in it :). Hope he will ;)

This Friday Dom is going for Grace's 5th Birthday - this time we are bit smarter :) We know for sure she's fan of Elsa and Frozen ( she was last year too, but we didn't know :) ). So this year card for her:

My version of Elsa made with Julia Spiri digi stamp: Flower girl.

Hope Grace will like her card and prezzies ;)

When you need something for special friend

My etsy team is bunch of lovely people. Every year before Christmas (actually around October) we starting sign up for team Sneaky Santa. This year Sneaky Santa sign up started few days ago :) so now we are working on our wish lists, waiting for rest of peeps to join up and definitely cannot wait for info for who each of us will be a Sneaky Santa :)

Last year gift for my Sneaky friend was a huge paper crafting project :) Charlie loves Japan and stationary.
Fact I bought nice earrings for her, also made jewellery set for her, but I wanted to make special stationary set - oriental, cherry blossom, etc.

Here card I sent her with gifties and wishes to her.

Here stationary set I made.

Thank you card and tag - set contained 5 per each.

Writing paper with envelopes.

Her reaction for it? Look, here pic from her Instagram :)

Looking for paper which will be perfect as writing paper took me a bit of time, but after stamping, adding just a bit of colour, wrapping all up and sending away and then knowing that Charlie like her gifts gave me a feeling of deep satisfaction :).

Now I'm waiting for this year Sneaky Santa challenge, cause I really like my sneaky friends and do my best to spoil rotten my this year Sneaky Santa partner :)
