I love charcoal!

Hiya crafties!

I missed last week lesson on my course due to midterm break at my son's school.

My teacher knew I'll be not in, so she gave me some theory handouts about charcoal, few practical tips and ask to play with this funny media.

I know for sure I love charcoal! Pencils are nice, but charcoal is easier for me to use - definitely 😀.

Vase and bowl.

Hills - from my head 😊.

My son's plushi dolphin laying on his bed near pillow.

I'm curious what my teacher will say for all these 😊.

That's all for today.

Till next post friends!

You can find lots of beautiful images of Ching's in her Etsy shop.

Here image after colouring

I decided to leave her partially in greyscale.

To make this card I decided to use 2 patterned papers and grey cardstock for layering.

To finish my card I added circle sentiment layered on grey scalloped circle and 3 white pearls.

What do you think about this card? Will be good for 21 years old girl?

Drawing with pencils

Hiya all!!!

Had my first proper lesson about drawing today - very intense one I can say. Joanne, our teacher is very good woman, encouraging...

I never had a chance to learn to draw, so... when I saw my 5 years old boy drawing, I thought: 'Come on, you cannot be worse then child! Go somewhere, learn!' - so I found a course and...

First task: blind drawing!!! Gosh! It is soooo hard to draw without looking on the paper :)

Then Joanne said: 'Draw your object', she remind us to remember about lights and shadows, plus not forgetting about material laying behind our objects...
Making shades was hard, so many light sources, but I think result is ok.

Then our next task (and last for today) was to draw 'composition' of part of objects displayed on the table.

Maybe not perfect drawing, but much better then I expected from myself :) Looks like I need bit more confidence and practice :)

Sorry for so dark pics, but we have rather cloudy day today here.

That's all for today!

Today I have for you card with cute image from Kinda Cute by Patricia called Sevillana sketch.😊.

She's a delight to colour and perfect for Birthday cards not only for Flamenco lovers.

After colouring I cut her out and placed in the middle of floral garland paper on foam pads. To match her dress I used pinky floral paper as a base, also shaded sentiment with mulberry pencil before fixing it on my card.

Time to learn something new :)

Hiya crafty peeps!!!

Today I don't have card for you unfortunately... Will have soon tho :)

Today I wanted to tell you about... me and... learning :) Yes! That's right! Learning. We learn whole life, so... better to learn something we want, love then something boring ;)

Through my education... I'm economist... Boring!!! Never really used. Why? I'm not mathematician, always was humanist but my parents wanted 'proper job' for me...

So I never really learn how to draw, colour, paint etc. I had a chance to be in music school, but... Mum didn't want to see me in violin class...

Result?

I'm colouring, cause I love it :) and doing my best to improve. Alyce thank you for your great classes at Kit and Clowder.

Painting? Hmmm... definitely my 5yo son is better then me so far :) Drawing? As before :) But...

I started Creative Craft/ Drawing and Painting course, so... who knows :)

Above - some of my new 'toys' hihihi.

I have about 24 weeks to explore new media, new techniques and find what I love from all these, so...

Keep your fingers crossed for me please!!!
