Watercolour pencils in card making.

I have 2 boxes of watercolour pencils... hardly used them before...

I'm not great with drawing but... do I really need to draw to have a proper use for my pencils?

I know one thing for sure - lots of practice in front of me 😊.

Here one of my first watercolour 'landscapes' 😊.

Cherry blossoms tree - kind of funny looking, but hey.. i'm learning 😊.

Then I thought: Why not try use them on stamps?
Results? Look below:

Winnie from Polkadoodles - I think I used bit too much water here 😊.

Monarch - image created by Ching Chou Kuik. Here used bit different technique and less water 😊.

So, my friends.. what do you think about using watercolours for card making? Good idea or not?

Till next post!

More Love cards

Oh yes! Valentine's Day is nearer and nearer!

I still didn't make card for my man - bit busy with other things lately... but not for long now.

Fact is I made few Valentine's cards already and all of them are available for sale in my etsy shop.

Totally unconventional Valentine in orange and green with 'Fantasy Romance' digi created by Andrea Norris from https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/SheepSkiDesigns?ref=pr_faveshops.

This cute image is digi called 'Dragoon' and was created by Naz Leila Smith from https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/SasayakiGlitter. I decided about clean and simple layout and funny green/pink/lavender combo for this one :) You can find it here: https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/505859019/handmade-greeting-card-valentines-card?ref=shop_home_active_3

Two cards below have beautiful images created by Ching Chou Kuik from https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/gjzcck.

.

Yellow and pink combo with piece of vellum heart paper. You can find this card here: https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/506328629/valentines-card-handmade-card-greeting?ref=shop_home_active_1

Rainbow roses and red layering for this simple card, which you can find here: https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/506328883/valentines-card-handmade-greeting-card?ref=shop_home_active_2

I still have few beautiful digis waiting for my attention :) Hope will use them soon :)

Crafting with puppy

Do you have a dog? Or maybe you have a puppy?

We have almost 10 weeks old puppy girl :). She's a cutie, but not very helpful from crafting point of view :).
Just look at her!

Her name's Tula and she is Christmas gift for our boy - he loves her :)

Because my men are most of their days away from home - one at school, one at work, Tula's spending most of her day with me at home (she's after vaccination, so we cannot go outside yet).

So my time is divided between her, my house works and crafting... unfortunately crafting loosing battle until I have my guys at home to entertain puppy :)

I realized that actually I can colouring stamps with her on my laps, but dealing with papers, ribbons etc I have to leave until she's sleeping or is busy with Dom or his Daddy.

My today's cards are rather simple designs with KraftinKimmie stamps - Tula was sleeping cutie :)

Pink and blue combo with 'Party Time' stamp with addition of pink organza ribbon, image colored with pencils and distressed with scissors (kind of obsession of mine).

Valentine's card with 'Love birds' stamp with red layering on cute springy paper from 'Riverbank Revels' pack from Trimcraft. Images colored with pencils and also distressed with scissors.

Hope you like these cards :)

Till next post friends!

Time for love in your cards

Valentine's Day, Anniversary, Engagement, Wedding cards... yeah lots of cards showing LOVE!

Did you ever stuck?

Sit and think: What stamp? What die? Flowers? More hearts? What sentiment?

Possibly you did.

Cause you simply don't want to give your love ones cards looked the same every year right?

I'm in this position every year, cause my crafty stash is limited and my man is dog lover...

But as crafters we always have a chance to find solution, internet is full of ideas plus we don't need material stamp (rubber or silicone) anymore to make new card - digis are answer for our dilemmas :)

I'm still discovering this new for me stamp world and believe it or not I'm becoming addict!!!

Check Etsy, find ArtbybarbDesigns, AllDressedUpStamps, gjzcck, JuliaSpiri, SweetEscapeDigis or SheepSkiDesigns to name only few! So many talented people, so many beautiful images!

                                                                      Example:

Kissing Elves from ArtbybarbDesigns

For my latest makes I used standard stamps - Penny Black and BuzzCraft.

Sweet animals and silver mirri card for layering.

Hedgehogs plus green/yellow and orange papers combo :)

Kitty plus red and gold :)

Still thinking about card for my man tho :) Maybe no doggs this year? Who knows :)

Till next post friends!
