Colouring challenge

This month is busy for me from colouring point of view. I decided to join The Daily Marker 30 Day challenge on Instagram :)

So since start of November I'm colouring mostly stamps every single day... Most of the time I'm using pencils and white cardstock, but once or twice I used craft card and watercolour pencils :)

Image I coloured on first day of challenge - stamp from KraftinKimmie.
I used it for birthday card for my neighbour :)

Day 7 of challenge - playing with watercolour pencils :) Image from KraftinKimmie.

Day 15 - bit of fairy tales :) Prince Frog :) Gosh I completely forgot I have so cute stamps in my stash :)

Day 18 - Christmas card with elephant (already sent away).

Day 19 - mini birthday card - image: Holly Hobbie.

Few more days of challenge left.

Colouring class

I know one thing, I still need lots of practice and lots of tips to be better with my colouring and blending when making stamped cards.

So.... colouring class was and is perfect idea to learn more.

Where to find them? Internet is great to search for all kind of things and also for colouring classes. I found mine through Facebook :) If you are interested to join just check Fb group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/kitandclowder/ or go to web: http://www.kitandclowder.com/

I was practicing hair colouring lately, also trying to improve face colouring. Sometimes is just a matter of using different technique, sometimes you need to learn some basics about light sources, shadings etc.
My latest colouring:

One of beautiful digis from Ching-Chou etsy shop: https://www.etsy.com/shop/gjzcck. I love her art.

Something from Dom's colouring book :)

Cute Tiddly Inks stamps :)

I think I'm better with hair colouring now, bit more practice with the rest needed, but as some smart people saying: Practice makes perfect! :)

Kraft card and pencils

You know it is rather strange that I never coloured on kraft cards before. I'm making cards since good 10 years and yes, I stamped on kraft cards few times at my friend's house, but only big sentiment stamps.

Few days ago I bought kraft cards in one of shops and decided to give a go :). I choose 'Clara' stamp from KraftinKimmie (I think this one is my new favorite for Christmas cards).

I like blue and silver colour combo on my Christmas cards, but this stamp I coloured with reds, greens, red-brown and orange shades, so rather traditional.

In my crafty stash I found papers in matching colours.

First I cut another kraft paper piece to make nice 145x145 mm base for my card. Then cut chosen papers to size I wanted.

For this project I used simple layout with not too many layers - just few squares layered on each other :).
To soften it a bit I add gold thread between them and round sentiment stamp from other KrafinKimmie sets, cut with die and few gems.

This is my first card with kraft paper :)

Hope you like it :)

Card making competition? Why not!

I'm massive reader of cardmaking magazines. Every year they're giving their readers a chance to become part of their DT. So... since 2 years I'm trying my hardest - no luck so far, but I'm not thinking about giving up - oh no!

Last year I sent these 3 cards:

Sentiment as a centrepiece

Flower girl in blue and yellow

Lovely mice :)

They were nice cards, but... I'm not jury member :) And I tried again this year with these 3 (sorry for blurry pics):

Scrapberry's fairy stamp

Pirate girl from Debbi Moore Designs

Little couple from Lili of the Valley.

No luck again, but I'll try again next year :)

I'm practicing my colouring skills, so who knows maybe third time will be lucky for me :) Fingers crossed for that Ladies and Gentlemen please :)

Till next post friends!

Kid at school, so you need more cards :)

I think you know, how funny can be when your child is at nursery/school and he/she is invited for Birthday Party or is a Teacher's day or end of school year. Cards are needed!!!

Dom is artistic soul, but he still need his Mummy when he is invited for party, cause Mummy stamping nicer and she's better with colouring :). Few Dom's creations below:

We had lots of fun with these ladybirds :)

Dom's last Christmas card for nursery teachers - he still loves sticking papers :) but now he also practicing colouring and stamping so... who knows :)

Card I made for Dom's nursery friend Grace for her birthday last year.

Lily of the Valley boys for his friend Logan :)

Cutie doggy for twins: Jasmine and Jessica :)

Spotlight technique and bear for teachers :)

I'm waiting when Dom will be old enough to teach him all I know about crafting if he still will be interested in it :). Hope he will ;)

This Friday Dom is going for Grace's 5th Birthday - this time we are bit smarter :) We know for sure she's fan of Elsa and Frozen ( she was last year too, but we didn't know :) ). So this year card for her:

My version of Elsa made with Julia Spiri digi stamp: Flower girl.

Hope Grace will like her card and prezzies ;)

That's all for today! Till next post!

Lots of Layers Challenge

Hello peeps :)

Something different today!
I never took part in cardmaking challenges (except Cardmaker of the Year competition) and decided: why not try? :)

Lots of Layers Challenge expiring November 4th at 11:55 pm EST. More info you can find in Kraftin Kimmie bloghttp://kraftinkimmiestamps.blogspot.co.uk/2016/10/challenge-355-lots-of-layers.html.

Last Saturday was day when my Christmas came earlier this year :). Postman bring me parcel from Canada:

Halloweeny stamps I won in 7th Birthday KraftinKimmy's bingo, and...

Rubber stamps goodie bag bought by my partner :)

Today is Halloween day and I was catch by thought: I still have time to make Halloween card!

Fact I don't have typically halloweeny papers in my stash, cause I was never doing Halloween card before. This time I said myself: You'll make Halloween card, cause you have still time and you have nice new stamps and you have lots of papers, so... what stopping you!

Plus I decided to take part in #355 challenge from Kraftin Kimmie :)

What I used:

My new stamps :)

Few pieces of black, orange, green and purple papers...

Plus bright orange ribbon and my pencils :)

Result here:

Card is made on white base and is blank inside. For extra touch I added 2 green gems.

Hope you like my first ever Halloweeny card :)

Till next post friends!

In love with digi stamps :)

For long, long time I was kind of traditionalist - stamps, yes, but only rubber or silicone. Digi stamps were away from 'my circle' :). Possibly because of lack of printer :).

All changed when I joined Kit and Clowder FB group. What a bunch of nice people and great card makers!
So if you are new in cardmaking or want to develop your skills or just have a chance to meet card making addicts from around the world join: https://www.facebook.com/groups/kitandclowder. Main person in group - Alyce - who created this group (over 12k members so far) is amazing girl and teacher for lots of us. She's Australian and today is her big day - she's a bride! So... we all are wishing her and Jon all the best!

To be honest I still don't have a printer :) but this not stopping me anymore :).

My first cards with digi stamps were made during colouring event sponsored by Saga Stamps https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/SagaStamps.

Kind of romantic red and greyish/black combo

Green and orange :)

Blue with yellow - my fave combo :)

Then I used digi image to make card for friendship card swap in the group :)

Just love Marina Fedotova illustrations - I have few silicone stamps with her images from Scrapberry's - http://scrapberrys.com/category/clear_stamps/.

Other cute images I was playing with lately:

Britney give Thanks from Stamp Anniething: http://stampanniething.com/

Little Carmen - gift for Clowdies from Julia Spiri

Beautiful geisha with cherry blossom I found in Julia's shop: https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/JuliaSpiri.

Now I'm just learning more and more about other cute digi stamps and finding more and more gorgeous images created by very talented people from around the world who are connected with our big cardmaking group.
