Bit of prehistory ;)

Hiya!!!

Prehistory?

My son is dinosaurs fan, but who said girls not love them too?

Today's project: birthday card with cute image from Polkadoodles called: 'Walk the dinosaur girl' from Sticks & Bones Collection ( http://www.polkadoodles.co.uk/dinosaur-downloads/).

As usual I coloured image with pencils.
For this card I decided to use 2 patterned floral papers with piece of bold bright orange paper between them to coordinate them with colours I used on image.

For sentiment I used clear stamp from AppleBlossom Design. Both image and sentiment I distressed with scissors and shaded with orange pencil.

As extra touch I added 2 die-cut and handcoloured butterflies on top right side of my card.

What do you think about this little project?

Hope you like it.

Cute mice

Hello, hello!

Mice?! Cute?! - someone could ask. Oh yes 😊.

Today I am showing you MICE 😊.

Did you saw Crafter's Companion mice images?

My little project for today - card with beautiful stamp from their set 'With love' which is part of Everyday in Moonbeam Meadows.

Image coloured with pencils as usual 😊.

For this card I used 3 patterned papers, nice deep red ribbon, red gems and nice sentiment from Apple Blossom Designs stamp set called: The Hummingbird Designer Collection (free gift from crafty magazine).

Image and sentiment I shaded with pencil on edges, also distressed image a bit with scissors.

These little mice are so sweet, great for Birthday card, but also for Engagement card or maybe even Anniversary card, that's what I think.

That's all for today friends!

Girls just want to have fun

Hey Crafties!

Today great Summer image from Sasayaki Glitter called: Snorkeling.

We both my son and me had fun colouring it, that is sure thing :)

Dom's version:

He loves bold colours and his markers :)

My version:

I prefer pencils :)

I love fish on this image - so great grumpy face :) Green with blue eyes for my son, yellow with hint of green for me :)

For my card I decided to use 2 patterned papers in complementary colours: yellow and blue, also decided to add piece of cut out rope image from other patterned paper I found in my stash and use gems for air bubbles around girl.
I shaded image edges with blue pencil, I also used bit of pencil shading on sentiment (blue on bottom, yellow on top). If you like this wording - check clear stamps from Inkadinkado.

Thanks for reading!!!

Feeling Fabulous

Hi!

Card making is great hobby, something I love to do when have bit of spare time. Something what is giving me a chance to feel bit like an artist :)

Today I want to show you card with cute image created by Conie Fong called: Feeling Fabulous.

I spent some time on thinking what colours I want on this card, choosing colour palette is the hardest part of card making I think... Possibly already wrote about it before :)

This time I went in reds, blues and lavender :)

For my card I use 2 patterned papers, smaller piece I layered on piece of white cardstock. All layers I distressed with scissors and additionally I shaded image and sentiment with light blue pencil.

For extra touches I added light blue ribbon with floral motif, blue gems and bit of glitter glue on roses' petals.

That's all for today friends :)

Till  next post!

Hedgehog :)

Hello all!

Hedgehogs are cute, aren't they?

Did you ever saw hedgehogs on stamp sets created by Penny Black? I'm lucky to have 2 sets (want more! ).

We met this cutie pie during one of our trips to Brocksbushes Farm for strawberry picking :)

Below my latest card - CAS in green (shame photo is sooo dark...).

I used image and sentiment from Penny Black's set called The Touch of Love.

I decided to use only 2 patterned papers for this little project. Image, sentiment and lighter paper I shaded with green pencil on edges. I added few green gems and ribbon for finishing touch.

What do you think about my hedgy card?

Till next post friends!

Little Carmen

Hiya Crafties!

Today I spend most of time at home waiting for delivery... not nice if you have no idea what time you can expect it...

So I decided to use this time to make some cards 😊. I had few 'Little Carmen' images from Julia Spiri already coloured and waiting, so...

I checked my stash for some nice papers, cut them, stick them with double sided type and..

Here you go!

Green beauty ;)

Pink Flamenco :)

Red Dancing Queen :)

For sentiment I used one of clear stamps from Inkadinkado set I received as a gift from friends from Canada :)

I hope you like my little flamenco dancers :)

Hairdresser or make up?

Hello crafty peeps!!!

Hairdresser or make up?

Very important question for girls isn't it?

We had to answer it when choosing image for new challenge at Alicia Bel's FB group.

I'm not a make up girl - had this done properly only once in my life  (years ago for prom ball 😊).

So for my card I choose stamp with hairdresser 😊.  Cute image - really.

Decided to play with pinks again as I want to give this card to my next door neighbour for her birthday 😊.

I was thinking hard about papers cause needed rather strong colours, combination which give a chance for Alicia's image to kind of 'walk out' from card, be seen...

You can find this image here:https://www.aliciabel.com/index.php.

Chosen papers I layered on silver mirri card and placed on card base in rather simple layout.
I cut out coloured with pencils image and layered it on pink cardstock and then on silver mirri. To place image on card I used foam pads to lift it up a bit. Also decided to use glitter glue on this little cutie to make her more shiny 😊.

My sentiment (created by Simonne Clay for Cardmaking & Papercraft Magazine) I cut in banner shape, shaded with pink pencil and layered on silver miri, also added bit of glitter glue on.

Hope Sarah (my neighbour) will like her Birthday card :)

Beauties of the Sea

Hiya Crafties!!!

Oh yes my friends! Mermaids again!

Why? May Challenge at Ching Chou Kuik's Facebook group :).

Believe it or not, for this challenge we have plenty of beautiful images to choose from! Just check mermaid section in Ching's etsy shop: https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/gjzcck?section_id=15928892.

I wanted my mermaid to have this kind of vintage look, more sea like coloured... hope I successed :)

I used 3 patterned papers in bluish/creamy/beige/brown colour combo. All three pieces I distressed with scissors and inked edges with brown ink.
I coloured my mermaid with pencils - used: gold, olive, ivory, spring bud, emerald green, golden yellow, light brown, yellow clay and yellow green. I also distressed image with scissors and inked it.

To be honest with you I'm not using laces in my cards often, but this time I decided that combo of white lace and two tone beige ribbon will work nicely on my new project - right side of card.

My sentiment (from Sweet Dixie) I placed of bottom left corner, then add 3 green gems on left top corner.

And what do you think about my Beauty of the Sea?

Till next post friends!!!

Panda in Mug

Today's card is my entry for Sasayaki Glitter Progressive Challenge #12.

Naz gave us very sweet image to work with: Panda in Mug - if you are interested in it you can buy it here: https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/514281686/image-50-panda-in-mug-digital-stamp-by?ref=shop_home_active_5.

As lately I was making lots of cards with pinks, purples, yellows and greens, this time I decided to try something bit different colour wise.

As you can see I choose vintage style coloured papers, piece of ribbon, greenish doily and some warm gold-yellow gems for my new card. To colour image I used only 2 pencils: gold and olive - sometimes less means a lot :)

This cute panda was 'asking' me to be on baby card, so... 'welcome baby' clear stamp from Sweet Dixie was perfect for this little project.

That's all for today friends.

Till next post!

I coloured this beauty with pencils (Artist's loft), layer her on squarish die-cut piece I found in my stash which I shaded lightly with pink pencil.
For layers I used few pieces of turquoise paper and 2 patterned papers.
For my sentiment - clear stamp from 'Riverbank Revels' set created by Helz Cuppleditch.

For extra touch - light pink organza ribbon and pink gems.

That's all for today friends!

Birthday with LOTV

Hello Friends!

May is a special month.

My son has birthday, my Mum has birthday, my Dad and me - our Namesdays :)

If you are card maker and you love stamping, someone else has birthday in May too - Lili of the Valley! Can you imagine they giving us their beautiful stamps for whole 13 years now? Lots of you possibly think: no way! 13! How we could stamping without these cuties before?!

If you folowing LOTV on FB, you know about their May Challenge: Birthday card!

For my newest card - for LOTV Birthday May challenge I decided to use their beautiful image called: On the garden wall.

I coloured image with pencils (Artist's Loft) and cut it out with Regal Circle Doily from Tonic Studios. I fill my circle with pinkish paper.
I layered card base with 3 patterned papers from Dovecraft - Sweet Paris, added light pink ribbon and pinkish wooden flower in right top corner for extra touch.
For my sentiment I used clear stamp from Sweet Dixie.

I hope you like my shabby chic style birthday card :)

Little bit of Spring :)

Spring :)

We still have few weeks of this nice season of the year in a front of us. We all definitely love when sun is shining more often and when we can forgot about winter heavy clothes...

So why not use all these warm springy colours on our cards my dear cardmaking friends? All these greens, yellows, oranges, etc :)

My 'springy' makes :)

Butterfly Princess from Conie Fong Art & Design, you can find this cute image and many more here: https://www.etsy.com/shop/ConieFongArt.

Flower Girl from Julia Spiri, you can find this beauty and many others here: https://www.etsy.com/shop/JuliaSpiri

Both images are coloured with pencils. Colours used: 3 shades of yellow, 2 shades of green, 2 shades of orange, ivory, peach, light brown and terracota. On both cards I used green gems and white/green checked ribbon.

Both cards are simple, with just few layers, nothing too fancy - I like to make my cards this way :)

What do you think about these two?

Do you like them?

Till next post friends!

Add some bling!

Hiya Crafties!

Today about May challenge at Conie Fong Art & Design FB group: Add some bling! (pearls, gems etc).

For my card I choose beautiful image called Moonflower Lullaby, you can find it here: https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/289136333/digital-stamp-digi-stamp-digistamp?ref=shop_home_active_35.

Looks like I'm bit addicted with pinks, purples and lavender on my cards lately :)

This time I decided to try with new layout, believe it or not I had little problem with deciding where which paper should be :) Took me a bit of time :)

For this card I used first time rose die cut in rather light pink and green gems for colour contrast.

Image I coloured (as always) with my trusty pencils, using bit of green, few shades of brown, dark pink, lavender and purple.

I really like how my card turned out and decided to send it to my Mum for her Birthday. Hope she will like it :)

That's all for today!

Till next post friends!!!

Card for my little boy

Hiya all!

My son will be 5 on Friday this week... Time is flying!!!

I was thinking: what I should put on his birthday card?

Hmmm.... He loves Tula (his puppy), dinosaurs, trains, Lego, transformers and Paw Patrol :)

I thought: maybe his fave from Paw Patrol - Rubble, but then... from where to have a stamp?

I know Pinterest is like mine of everything we looking for, but... we bought him T-shirt and some colouring books with Paw Patrol, so.. I decided to use something else on his card.

Unfortunately I have no idea who created this cute image, so if you know, please give me a shout as I want to have a chance to give a credit to creator in here.

Decided to use light colouring and 3 patterned papers plus Dom's fave layout for his Birthday Card, I hope he will like it. I added piece of blue ribbon and few blue gems as extra touch.

And what do you think about this card?

Like it?

Till next post friends!
