Pouring paint art

Hiya crafty peeps!

Yesterday late afternoon we were experimenting with my little man.

We saw few nice pieces made with pouring paint techniques and we decided to give it a go.

As per one of tutorials we saw on YouTube, we made simple 'pouring agent' - mix of glue and water and then mix it with acrylic paint - Dom choose green, blue and white.

You can check YouTube for techniques - as there are few - and do as we did - have a messy fun :)

Our painting is still bit wet, but definitely beautiful.

Size of canvas used: 20 x 20 cm.

Today's masterpiece in blue, yellow and white :)

We will make more soon for sure :)

That's all for today!

Till next post peeps!

Dom suggested to colour her dress purple, so...

This cute image you can find here.

Patricia has few ballerinas and other dancing cuties in her shop, so... check her offer in here ;)

Hiya crafty peeps!

Summer holiday for my son starts... what to do with 6 years old little chap? Hmmm maybe.... yes! Bit of travelling, bit of crafting, some reading and.... Lots of other things.

But what with my cardmaking?

I still can craft 😊.

So... After coming back from the beach...

Image I colored with Prismacolors pencils and fussy cut it out, then decided to use one patterned paper and piece of embossed card.

As you can see all bits of my card are layered on brown cardstock.

I added 'with love' sentiment and voila!

Daisy

Hello Crafty Peeps!!!

Today I have for you card made for my son's Head of School - she's living our school and kids are very unhappy because of it - some even threaten her to use a glue to keep her in school ;)

For this little project I used Daisy Mini Chibi from Yampuff. You can find Yasmeen's images also in her etsy shop.

Image and little butterflies I colored with Prismacolor pencils. For finishing touch I added few drops of multicolour glitter glue here and there (image and sentiment).

I want to enter it:

Dandelion dreams

Hiya Crafties!

Today card made with free gift from latest issue of Papercraft Inspirations.

We can say I'm rarely using embossing folders, to be honest only because I don't feel kinda comfy with them... but... practice definitely can help improve that 😁.

This time I challenged myself for not only embossing but also using inks with it.

Result?

Birthday card for our lovely neighbour Margaret 😊.  Hope she will like it.

Card size 140 x 140 mm,
then brown card for layering, piece of patterned paper, inks plus embossing folder and stamps from Dandelion Dreams set designed by Angela Poole.

Butterfly and bee colored with Prismacolor pencils.

What do you think about this card?

My meadow :)

Hello Crafties!

Today.... my piece for art course... final piece... done.

Fact.. had to change a concept a bit as yarn and glue didn't want cooperate much.. but result.. is OK for me :)

But all in kinda order :) First I was trying techniques for base, then I was experimenting with glues, buttons, twine, yarn...

Then decided to try something different to paint my meadow... flat brush :) Result was very promising :)

Soooo.... I decided: palette knife for stormy skies and flat (big) brush for grass on my meadow.
Size of my canvas: 30 x 40 cm.

Then I had lots of thinking about how to make my mixed media bit... big pieces of yarn were not an option... definitely wanted to use wooden barks pieces Dom asked me to use. I was walking around crafty shop to find paper flowers... I found some... but... decided to sit, stamp, colour and cut out bit more flowers and... as planned before... some butterflies.

Below bottom part of my picture/painting/mixed media - whatever you want to call it :)

My piece on the wall in our living room :)

On the end I used acrylic paints, white cardstock to create butterflies and some flowers (colored them with Prismacolor pencils), 2 shades of green twine, small pieces of red yarn, wooden bark pieces and fair amount of silver glitter glue (to imitate water drops).

What do you think about my art piece?

Till next post peeps!!!

Little mermaid?

Hiya Crafties!!!

As you may remember I wrote sometime ago that you will see more YamPuff images on my cards...

Image I used for today's project is called Disney's Ariel and belongs to Fanart section on YamPuff web.

I decided to send this card to my Mum for her Namesday :) I hope she will like it :)

I colored Ariel with Prismacolors and added few drops of silver glitter glue around the image.

As many times before, my son helped me with choosing papers, hihihihi.

Result? Look below!

Thank you cards for teachers

Hi Crafties!

Today I have for you not one, but 3 cards :)

My little man will be finishing Year 1 in 2 weeks, so about 3 days ago he choose  images for 'thank you' cards for his teachers - Bentley Bear set. He was cheeky enough to inform me he will not color them, I should do it!

So...

I was thinking about colors, layouts etc... and here you have results:

I decided to use spotlight technique for all of them and make them not exactly the same from layout point of view. Also used sentiments from 2 different stamp sets.

Hope teachers will like them.

That's all for today!

Sevillana

Hiya Crafties!

Today I have for you my newest DT card for Kinda Cute by Patricia.

For this little project I decided to use Sevillana SketchI used this digi before and it is real pleasure to color. Before I used pink/turquoise combo on dress before, this time I decided to go for more 'classic' look: red/black/white.

I colored her with Prismacolor pencils, then line all pieces (image, sentiment and papers) onto gold mirri card. I added few splashes of multicolor glitter glue on image.

Red paper used on this card is handmade with pieces of dry flowers pressed between fibres.

Sevillana is perfect for birthday card for dancers, specially flamenco/salsa dancers - that's what I think at least :)

Poppies

Hiya all!

Today I have for you my DT card with free images from Beccy's Place - sponsor of this month challenge in Crafts Galore Encore Challenge Blog.

I choose Poppies designed by Beccy Muir in March 2011 and her For You freebie from September 2012. You can easily find both of them on Beccy's web.

I'm rarely using black on my cards, but this time I decided to use piece from paper pad I have very long time in my stash. As I wanted poppies kinda 'pop out' on card I used piece of red card when making layering.

Poppies

Sentiment

I added also bit of multicolour glitter glue on poppies, small butterfly (sentiment) and few splashes around card base.
